A Self-Help Group gathering fostering resilience, financial awareness, emotional well-being, and leadership among women from vulnerable communities.
Women empowerment is fundamental to inclusive and sustainable social development. Women from economically and socially vulnerable backgrounds often face barriers such as limited financial literacy, restricted access to resources, lack of confidence, and minimal support systems. Recognizing these gaps, Paarvedan Foundation organized a Women Empowerment Self-Help Group (SHG) Gathering designed as a safe, inclusive, and structured platform for dialogue, skill-building, and collective growth.
The program included open-circle discussions fostering trust and solidarity, personal empowerment storytelling sessions, skill-building workshops on communication and decision-making, introductory financial literacy guidance on budgeting and savings, and expressive arts activities supporting emotional well-being.
Approximately 60 women from marginalized and low-income backgrounds participated in the initiative, supported by 12 volunteers and facilitators. The initiative aligns with Paarvedan Foundation's broader mission of promoting holistic development, grassroots leadership, and sustainable community empowerment.
