A legacy since the 1960s

At the heart of the Paarvedan Foundation lies a rich and inspiring legacy that traces its roots back to the early 1960s. Founded by the visionary and pioneer, Bhagirth Ji Rupchand Chouhan, the organization embarked on a remarkable journey that has touched the lives of countless individuals and communities across Madhya Pradesh.

Named after the Sanskrit word "Paarvedan," meaning transformation, the foundation is committed to fostering sustainable solutions and holistic development — combining community-led design with evidence-based programs and transparent reporting.

Bhagirth Ji Rupchand Chouhan

1938

Birth, Mandsour

Shri Bhagirth Ji Rupchand Ji Chouhan was born in Mandsour, Madhya Pradesh. His early years were shaped by rural life and the values of resilience and service.

1947

Early Life in Mandsour

Growing up in a modest household, he nurtured ambitions that reached beyond his village and prepared for a life of enterprise and community work.

1958

Preparing for Change

In the years after India's independence, Bhagirth Ji's determination to seek broader opportunities took root; he began planning the move that would define his future.

1962

The Move to Mumbai with Zero Rupees

In a defining act of courage, he relocated to Mumbai with no capital, driven by vision and tenacity. This bold leap marked the start of his entrepreneurial journey.

1973

Founding Talpatriwala

In Mumbai he founded Talpatriwala, a business specializing in metal sheets and roofing solutions. Under his leadership the company prospered and became a symbol of his hard work and business acumen.

1983

Devotion to Community and Spiritual Life

Beyond commercial success, Bhagirth Ji dedicated himself to community upliftment. He led the construction of over 300 temples across Madhya Pradesh, creating spiritual and social hubs that strengthened local communities.

2000

Passing and Legacy

Bhagirth Ji Rupchand Ji Chouhan passed away in 2000. He left behind a multifaceted legacy of entrepreneurship, philanthropy and community building that continues to inspire the work of Paarvedan Foundation.
