A three-year Tree Plantation Program to increase green cover, promote environmental sustainability, and strengthen community participation in ecological conservation.
Rapid urbanization, deforestation, and climate change have significantly reduced green cover across urban and semi-urban regions, contributing to air pollution, rising temperatures, soil degradation, and biodiversity loss. Recognizing the urgent need for sustainable environmental action, Paarvedan Foundation implemented a structured Tree Plantation Program over three consecutive years (2023, 2024, and 2025).
Each year, 100 native and climate-resilient saplings were planted in carefully selected public and community spaces based on soil quality and water availability, resulting in a total of 300 trees planted over three years. The program emphasized quality assurance and sustainability through proper pit preparation, soil treatment, verified nursery selection, and post-plantation care instructions.
With a cost of ₹80 per tree and a total estimated expenditure of ₹24,000, the program demonstrated cost-effective environmental impact — improved microclimate, enhanced air quality, soil conservation, biodiversity support, and increased environmental awareness.
